The U3A in Australia is growing in strength each
year as more and more of us subscribe to the idea of using our retirement years
for doing those things we all wanted to do when we were too busy earning a
crust and bringing up the kids. If you fit this bill then you're a ripe
candidate for joining our ranks. Membership is inexpensive and opens up a
whole new world of learning or just plain but useful social activity.
U3A Southern Highlands is just one of over a hundred and
seventy U3As in Australia with memberships exceeding 55,000. Each is an
independent association, setting its own rules, arranging its own courses and
serving the needs of its community,
You can join U3A-Southern Highlands for $40 a year if
you're on your own or for $70 a year for a partnered couple. Your
subscription gets you an opportunity to attend as many courses and activities,
as there are vacancies, in each of four terms of the year. Most terms
we average about 30 courses/activities in each week of each term.
There are no age restrictions, except that our insurers expect you to be over 50.
